Based in Atlanta, Georgia since 1987, Advantage Laser Products specializes in check printing supplies, including
MICR toner, blank check paper, laser printers and more. We provide high-quality products and exceptional customer service every day, and more than half of our 15 team members have been with the company for 10 years or more.
One of the most important things to note about Advantage Laser is our environmental consciousness is in our blood, and we recycle everything possible. In fact, remanufactured toner cartridges make up one third of our business. We remanufacture about 25,000 cartridges a year, and we even reuse the foam endcaps on our toner cartridges whenever possible.
Years ago, our MICR toner supply center joined the EPA WasteWise program, which helps businesses apply sustainable management practices to reduce waste. We also instituted a program called "The Box", which offers our customers a way to recycle more than just their toner cartridges. Our in-house recycling currently includes cardboard, office paper, plastic, aluminum, Styrofoam and steel, and we continue to examine our waste outflow to find new, potentially-reusable materials. About Our Team
John Miller VP Sales and Customer Service (Since 1991)
John is VP of Sales and Customer Service and an equity share holder in ALP. John came to ALP from Westcorp Software, one of the pioneers of laser check printing software. John started as a salesman in 1991, and in 1992 John joined ALP as an equity shareholder and completely rebuilt our customer service team to the world class customer service team we have today. John is a graduate of the SMU business school and an active member of Rotary International and organizes the Rotary Ball an annual fundraiser for Charity.
Brian Chaney President (Since 1987)
Brian is the other original founder of Advantage Laser Products and has made toner his life since 1987. He is married to wife Melinda and has four sons. A native Oklahoman (Tulsa) and graduate of the University of Oklahoma, he is not only a Sooner fan but a Bama fan, his adopted second favorite school. Brian worked for the Phi Kappa Sigma national fraternity for a couple of years out of college and joined Marvin to start ALP to escape poverty and endless travel. Brian functions as the administration arm of ALP and handles "the paperwork" administration, including payroll, accounting, human resources, insurance, inventory - you name it. Brian is an active member of the Galleria NW Atlanta Kiwanis Club, Boy Scout leader with Troop 479, and member of the Cobb Chamber's Blue Team CEO Roundtable. His hobbies include running, old truck restorations, gardening and antique military firearms.
Marvin Masson IT Consultant to Advantage (Since 1987)
One of the original founders of Advantage Laser Products and Marvin has been with ALP since 1987. Marvin helped start ALP straight out of college and has never had a "real" job, other than ALP. Marvin now resides in Coffs Harbour, Australia and is now a technical consultant to Advantage Laser Products. Marvin consults with Advantage on internal software, web sites and ecommerce. Marvin has a degree in Computer Science and Business Management from the University of Alabama.
Kevin Wallace - Inside Sales & Customer Service (Since 2002)
Kevin began working part time in the warehouse at ALP in 2002 while pursuing a MA degree in philosophy at Georgia State University. Once his coursework was finished, Kevin was hired full time and took over inventory management before finally joining the inside sales team in 2006. Kevin enjoys commuting to work on his cross bike, playing in his various music projects/ bands, brewing beer and wine, gardening, travelling, reading Wittgenstein and spending time with his wife, Susannah.
Corey Lieske - Inside Sales & Customer Service (Since 2002)
Corey joined Advantage's Customer Service and Sales team in 2002, helping form the backbone of what makes Advantage unique in its industry. Corey is originally from Houston, TX however he spent the majority of his formative years in Dunwoody, GA. He works alongside Kevin Wallace and not only do they work together, they both attended Dunwoody High School and the University of Georgia. When Corey isn't busy bleeding red and black while rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs football team, he enjoys raising his two adorable children, with his lovely wife Emily.
Eric Robinson - Shipping Manager (Since 1995)
We ship 99% of our orders the same day - Eric make sure this happens. Eric originally started as a production line member back in 1995, but in 1999 became shipping manager. And in 2006 Eric became a master cartridge builder. In 2018 Eric returned to being shipping manager. Eric's passion is NASCAR and Georgia Football (in that order!). Eric collects NASCAR memorabilia and currently has the official jacket of one of NASCAR's first officials, Sam Packard on loan to the newly opened NASCAR hall of fame museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Marlon Holt - Master Cartridge Builder (Since 1995)
Marlon began his career with Advantage in August of 1995. As a Cartridge Technician, Marlon is responsible for producing many of the remanufactured toner cartridges that Advantage ships on a daily basis. As a result of his attention to detail and tenure with the company, you can be confident that you are receiving a quality product. When Marlon isn't working "Cartridge Remanufacturing Magic", he can be found spending time with his daughters or giving back to his community by mentoring at the College Park, GA Community Center. Additionally he has been an avid chess player since his high school days and loves to swim during the hot Atlanta summer months.
Andres Allpere - Sales Major Accounts (Since 2001)
Andres came on board with Advantage in 2001, leaving behind a position with a major national brokerage firm. As a self-proclaimed "gadget guy", he has since become a fully certified Hewlett Packard LaserJet technician. Andres works directly with our loyal customers in the Atlanta market, and developed & manages our new inside sales team. Outside of working at Advantage, Andres enjoys taking in Atlanta Braves games, cooking, hunting, scuba diving, and remodeling his new home with wife Kristin. Andres has lived abroad in Vienna, Austria and Essen, Germany and is fluent in both German & Estonian.
Marcia Johns - Sales Major Accounts (Since 2001)
Marcia Johns joined Advantage in 2001 and brought with her vast industry experience and knowledge. She has been integral in growing and maintaining Advantage's local account portfolio. Additionally she has made sure to grow the waistlines of all Advantage employees with her famous ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Marcia hails originally from the great state of Michigan and has three grown children.
Will Zoeffel - Sales Major Accounts (Since 2010)
Will, a Valdosta, GA native, joined Advantage in 2010. Earned Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State University in 1991. Will continuously helps our company grow with his innate ability to obtain new accounts. His concierge style of managing his client's product and service needs makes Will the man you want to have as your account executive! When not working, you can find him in the great outdoors. Will loves to hike, swim, camp, fish, hunt, boat, water ski and motorcycle. In short, if you were to get lost in the woods, you would want Will by your side.
Ken Wright - Warehouse Manager (Since 2010)
Ken joined Advantage circa 2010. He spends his days running about the warehouse and assisting production. He started his career part time, but has since become a full time employee. When not at work, Ken raises his two boys and enjoys games, movies, and books.
Lisa Carey - Technical Support (Since 2015)
Lisa joined Advantage Laser Products when they acquired IPS of Boston in 2015. She brings over 15 years of experience in the laser check printing and check fraud prevention software industry. When Lisa is not busy assisting customers, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing the drums, gardening, sculpting, and upcycling/repurposing items into works of art.
